A new team on the block are on a mission to ‘bring eco-sexy back’! We’re on board and we hope you’ll join us too!
The Challenge MRK is the local National Citizen Service (NCS) provider in Merton, Richmond and Kingston.
As part of The Challenge, the true skills of one team of young people in Merton are being tested as they take on sponsored challenges to raise money for Sustainable Merton!
Through their fundraising efforts and awareness raising, the team aim to help Sustainable Merton grow and make the borough a more sustainable and eco-friendly place. Their goal is to and create a movement to challenge people’s perceptions of environmentalism.
They have already taken on the ’99 Challenges’, which consisted of a day running around Merton doing ‘crazy things’ such as getting strangers to sing with them and drawing their faces on oranges… The day was a great success, with around £150 being raised – taking their grand total to date up to £285!
The team also joined forces with Sustainable Merton volunteers for a community gardening day at Phipps Bridge Community Garden. As always they all showed enthusiasm and a keenness to get stuck in, making tasks including litter picking, harvesting and digging look easy! (See all of the action HERE).
You can also make an Eco-Sexy pledge to tell others about the small changes you will be making to live a little greener. This can be as simple as remembering to switch off the lights as you leave a room – it all counts!

We are delighted that Team Eco-Sexy have chosen to support our charity and we are also very impressed at the fun and creative way they are doing this!
A BIG thank you to everyone for their hard work and we look forward to continuing our work with the team to make ‘eco’ sexy!
