Hello! My name is Sue McGhie and I have volunteered to take over as Treasurer for Sustainable Merton.
I am a Merton resident and bring over 40 years experience in finance which ranges from having my own small business and working in large corporations through to work with charities and non profit community service organisations. Some have called me a community activist and I have been a founder and board member of a number of community-based organisations, mainly working on housing and general community development.
My wide-ranging interests include travel, gardening, food preserving, sewing and stained glass. My husband and I are eco-conscious and also as our home backs onto the Wandle public footpath we are very interested in the river – its welfare and all its history.
I’m happy to support to the fantastic work done by the great team at Sustainable Merton with my skills and experience and will be happy to meet many of you.
“Sustainable Merton is delighted to welcome Sue to the team and we thank her very much for offering her time to support our work!”
