By Abby (Organiser – Merton Green Parents)

“We had a great day at the Gooseberry Bush Cafe talking to parents about the joys of cloth nappies and parenthood in general. We had everyone from a dad of a 4 day old baby to someone looking for advice on potty training pants! It’s going to be a busy few months with hires but we are still able to do one-to-one demos, or come to our weekly Wednesday meet-ups (from 10am @ Coffee in the Wood SW19 2JF) to talk about cloth nappies and green parenting in general.

Nappy Advice DaySome things to look out for in the coming months:

Long term kits – thanks to a generous donation from Circle Housing and some of our green parents we will be offering kits to hire for families in financial need to help with the cost of parenthood. More details will be released soon about referrals for this scheme.

Holiday kits – love cloth but not sure what to do while you’re on holiday? We will be launching a kit of hybrid nappies including gNappies and Flips that are easily washed and dried and can be used with disposable inserts.

Green Parents Family Fun Day – after last year’s great event we will be running another family day with a clothes swap, arts and crafts, baby massage and our nappy and wipe demo kits. Watch this space for more news on the date!”
