Our Activities

Our Community Gardening activities were wide ranging, from continued support of gardens established as part of our former Dig Merton project, to teaching primary school children about food growing, nutrition, while giving them an opportunity to benefit from outdoor activity.

We also partnered with Colliers Wood Residents’ Association in their Heritage Lottery funded Hyper project (Heritage, Young Persons and Elderly Residents), which aimed to teach children about life and local food growing on allotments during WW2.

We continued to build our team of Community Champions, who supported our activities across the borough, engaging and educating local residents in all aspects of sustainability, and also worked with Merton Council to create a Food Poverty Action Plan for the borough, which has now been published.

Here are just some of our highlights in pictures and numbers!
