About The Event
Join Merton Green Parents for their next meet-up: a family litter pick, part of Sustainable Merton's monthly Waste Warrior Weekend and Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean 2022 campaign.Â
What's involved? We will be collecting and safely disposing of litter from Wimbledon Common. Meet us at 9.30am at the café. We will have some litter pickers available to borrow and will provide disposable gloves for hygiene purposes. Please feel free to bring along your own gloves, e.g. gardening gloves, if you have them. Please bring along old plastic bags that you no longer need or bin liners, one/more for general waste and one/more for recycling.
As we will probably have children of different ages, abilities, and speeds, we don’t expect the whole group to stay together but we will meet again at the café at 10.30am to return litter-pickers and have a cuppa.
