Join the green conversation at our seminar and networking breakfast with Geeks and Merton Chamber of Commerce.

Time & Location

11 September, 09:00 – 10:30

About The Event

On 10th July, Merton Council confirmed a cross party agreement to declare a climate emergency for the borough to achieve Carbon neutrality by 2050. This date may seem a long way off but there is much to be done.

The Council will take a leadership role and is calling on businesses, residents, public sector and community organisations to get involved. Most of our carbon emissions come from buildings and transport, so it depends on everyone of us taking action.

  • Meet the Green Geeks Club and be part of a local network of businesses within Merton sharing best practice, ideas and plans to become more sustainable.

  • Hear from Merton Council's Climate Change Officer Katie Halter about the Climate Emergency, next steps, and a new Climate Action Working Group - which businesses are encouraged participate in.

  • Hear what other steps you could be taking to reduce your businesses's carbon footprint so that Merton can become a more sustainable community.

"Let’s do this and work together to achieve a sustainable future for the next generations!"

Diana Sterck, CEO Sustainable Merton
