"The Spring Reception at City Hall on Tuesday 22nd May was hosted by Merton and Wandsworth London Assembly Councillor Leonie Cooper. The event, designed to encourage social and environmental conversation between boroughs and interested parties, introduced myself and fellow Community Champion, Carolin, to a plethora of contacts. The large turnout and impassioned level of interested parties clearly Illustrated how much importance this city is beginning to attach in respect of its social and environmental responsibilities.
The Mayor of London - Sadiq Khan, dropped in and delivered a brief speech reinforcing his desire to "make London not just the greatest city in the world but the greenest as well". With the recent news of an ultra low emission zone let's hope this desire is proven in a few years time."
