Our role

Sustainable Merton takes pride in working with local partners and funding organisations to deliver sustainability projects and make a real difference to Merton's environment and the lives of people who live, work in and love Merton.

We have a proven track record of working with small and large public, social and commercial partners to make a significant difference to the borough. â€‹ Over the years,  Sustainable Merton has created strong networks between those interested in the sustainability agenda and works with very knowledgeable people in this sector.

Through our collaboration with like-minded partners, we aim to:

  • Create a more sustainable environment in Merton.

  • Develop, promote and implement sustainability strategies and action plans.

  • Support local community led-initiatives to enhance their success and longevity.

  • Promote and contribute to the work and events of our Merton and London-wide partners.

  • Provide fundraising support for community groups and projects within our key themes

  • Inspire and mobilise communities, individuals and businesses to take action to protect our environment.
