A big thank you to Simply Business for joining us at Mitcham Community Orchard to support the work being done to keep this wonderful community space thriving.
The project was set up to provide local people with a beautiful community space on their doorstep and an opportunity for them to get involved in food growing and plant cultivation, whilst socialising and keeping active. Its success relies on the efforts of volunteers to help manage and maintain the orchard.
The Simply Business team (including our lovely Community Champion Paula), got stuck in and helped with pruning fruit trees, litter picking, weeding flower beds and creating a new vegetable patch. Great work!
We are getting involved in local charities in and around our offices as part of our 'Giving Back' pledge and it's great to be able to work with a local charity committed to the environment.
