 Creating a more   circular Merton

Reduce. Reuse. Repair..png

At Sustainable Merton, we support residents, businesses and community organisations to reduce waste and build a more circular economy in Merton — moving away from throwaway culture towards reusing, repairing and sharing resources.

Our borough-wide work helps reduce waste, save money, protect nature and bring people together through community climate action.

Join us at a Repair Café, develop sewing skills at our Preloved Studio, and discover local services helping keep useful items out of the bin.

Please note: We are not a waste collection service and cannot accept donations of preloved items. Please see our Reduce Waste pages for local donation and collection organisations.

"Mentally, best thing that's ever happened to me. I really enjoyed working with everyone on the Canons upcycling project"
- Tom, 81, Merton resident
