Merton Partnership Volunteer Awards

Sustainable Merton were delighted to attend the Merton Partnership Volunteer Awards 2016, which took place on Wednesday 8th June.

“The evening provided a great opportunity to network with local groups and volunteers, and to spread the word about our new Community Champions project.

Beau Fadahunsi (Merton Voluntary Service Council) and Fitzroy Dawson (Merton Community Transport) led the awards presentation and the new Mayor of Merton – Brenda Fraser (who herself has an impressive volunteering record!) presented winners and runners up with their well deserved awards and certificates.

It was wonderful to hear the stories of volunteers of all ages, from 5 to 90, and we were inspired by their achievements.

A HUGE congratulations to our very own “Mr Merton” and ‘Volunteer Manager of the Year’ runner up – Tom Walsh (right), who received recognition for the fantastic work he continues to do throughout the borough. He supports, encourages and inspires our invaluable volunteers every step of the way, and it is through such teamwork that Sustainable Merton has become the dedicated and trusted organisation we are so proud to be!” – Amy, Sustainable Merton

All at Merton Partnership are proud of ‘Mr Merton’ our beloved Tom Walsh a true ambassador for volunteering & all things Green!”

Beau Fadahunsi (Merton Voluntary Service Council)
