If you register with Sustainable Merton, dependent on the category you fall within, the information you give us may include your name, address, email address and phone number, personal description and photograph and consent to use, age bracket, emergency contact information, interests and preferences, professional information (such as, but not limited to, your job title and details of your employer) and any other information relevant to your enquiry or request for information which we may request and you may choose to provide to us from time to time.


Why we need this information and what we do with it?

For members and supporters - we use the information to keep in touch with you about your membership, to provide you with our e newsletter and other promotional information and information that you may request from us or may be interested in; to help you recall previous information we provided; to provide you with information about other projects we are involved with that are similar to those that you have already said you are interested in and to notify you about any changes;

For volunteers, trustees and Community Champions - we use the information to provide you with our 
e newsletter and other promotional information; to provide you with updates about the charity and volunteering opportunities; to provide you with information about other projects that you may be interested in; to enquire whether or not you would like to join us as members or donate and to provide you with information about our events and local activity that may interest you.

For strategic partners, contractors and suppliers we work with - we use the information to keep track of our contact with you.  

 

Publicity

We would like to send you information on the work we do, including e newsletters and emails to keep you up to date with our work. You will be asked to agree to this through our email system. We will always give you the opportunity to unsubscribe. We will not share your information with anyone outside of Sustainable Merton unless we ask your permission to do so and you consent.

Where we store your information

The data that we collect from you is stored in Google Drive which is accessed only by Sustainable Merton’s members of staff upon account verification.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to us. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Right of access to your information 

Please feel free to ask what personal information Sustainable Merton holds about you. If the information is inaccurate we will make and confirm any necessary changes. If you believe we are not handling your data correctly you should email Sustainable Merton - info@sustainablemerton.org.
