January #WasteWarriors Weekend

You can complete your litter pick any time over the weekend on a street or park near you! We will come together in spirit through sharing photos on social media.

Every 4th weekend of the month, our #WasteWarriors do your bit to care for our local environment as we join forces (in spirit!) to collect and safely dispose of litter from Merton's streets and green spaces.

In light of the current situation*, there are two ways you can get involved in #WasteWarriors Weekends:

♻️ Organise a private clean-up with people you live with, your support bubble, or with one other person from another household.

♻️ Pledge to do your own individual litter-pick.

Remember to share photos and stories on social media to inspire others to do their bit! Use the hashtag #WasteWarriors and don't forget to tag Sustainable Merton - @SustainableMert (Twitter) / @sustainablemerton (Instagram)

* IMPORTANT - CORONAVIRUS GUIDANCE

Litter-picking can be carried out alone or as part of a private clean up with people you live, your support bubble, or one other person from another household, based on the current government guidance**.

Individuals currently shielding, in ‘at risk’ groups, displaying symptoms (or in contact with those with symptoms) or have been directly advised to self-isolate SHOULD NOT litter-pick.
