About The Event
This is a unique time in our history and we invite you to join a community textile project, brought to you by Sustainable Merton and the Loving Earth Project, to reflect on how we relate to our environment and help create a legacy of this period with a vision of a more sustainable future in Merton. Join our introductory workshop to find out more!
Workshop details
After a brief introduction, we will be led in a short guided meditation to help us focus and start thinking about links between what we love, the impact of COVID and wider environmental change. What actions might we take to support a more sustainable future? How might this be illustrated in a textile panel? We will have a chance to share some reflections in small groups, and then talk together about making textile panels for a future exhibition, and have your questions answered.
Please bring paper (ideally a sheet of A3 paper) and some coloured pencils or pens. You may wish to browse the Loving Earth Project site in advance, especially the introductory video.
