About The Event

Sustainable Merton, in partnership with the Loving Earth Project, is delighted to have been invited by Wimbledon Library to exhibit a selection of the Loving Earth: A Legacy of Lockdown panels for National Libraries week, 4th-10th October. The theme of national libraries week this year celebrates the role that libraries play in their community as a driver for inclusion, sustainability, social mobility, and community cohesion.

The project which took place between November 2020 - July 2021 saw 53 participants create textile panels which displayed their thoughts and feelings about the environment and their hopes for the future coming out of lockdown.

To visit the free display, please visit Wimbledon Library between 4th - 9th October (the library is closed on Sunday 10th).
