Mitcham Community Orchard and Gardens is a beautiful 1/4-acre green space where nature thrives. We invite you to our annual Spring Open Day to enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks and a variety of nature-based activities for all ages.
Special for our 2025 open day! We welcome you to join Tree Folk Collective on a community walk through Mitcham Community Orchard to learn more about our tree neighbours, their leaves and blossoms, and the folklore that connects us. We’ll be exploring Beltane and flowering trees, sharing how to identify each tree species, and delving into their links to ancient Gods, spirits, magic superstitions, and folk traditions. Tree Folk Collective is Maribel Bennett Greig and Franki Appleton, two community orchardists with a passion for folklore, plant-lore, and caring for trees. @treefolkcollective
