Want to make friends, learn a creative skill, reduce your textile waste, and save money? Join Project Preloved: The social sewing community for those who can’t sew (but want to give it a go!).Â
Wondering what you could do with your textiles when they're too old to repair? In the 3rd workshop of our Project Preloved series, workshop leader Trish Ann (TheAuntyShan.com) will teach you some creative and simple ways to upcycle textiles. You'll learn how to turn an old t-shirt into a scarf and into yarn for knitting, macrame, and more!
Although this workshop is aimed at beginners, it is also suitable for people with basic sewing skills who want to learn more.
Project Preloved is a series of 4 free beginner sewing workshops that will give you the knowledge to make your clothes last and, at the end of their life, upcycle them into something new. From basic stitching and mending techniques to upcycling your old t-shirt into a scarf, Project Preloved will cover it all!
