About The Event

Sewing Machine 101: Beginner Machine Skills


Whether you have a sewing machine at home you've never dared to touch or you're curious about picking up sewing as a new hobby, this friendly, hands-on session will guide you through the basics of setting up and confidently using a domestic sewing machine. You’ll learn in a relaxed, welcoming space dedicated to creativity, community, and reducing textile waste.


This is a beginner-level workshop — no previous experience required.


Please note: This workshop requires a £5 non-refundable donation to Sustainable Merton to help us reduce no-shows and keep our community sessions sustainable. If you cannot afford this or prefer not to pay, please email prelovedstudio@sustainablemerton.org and we will happily register you for free — no questions asked.
