About The Event
Pruning soft fruits at the right time is essential to keeping plants productive. So come along Merton's award-winning Mitcham Community Orchard to take part in our FREE workshop and learn how to prune soft fruit trees, bushes and canes to maximise yield and minimise disease.
Places are limited, please register early to book your place!
The session will be dedicated to how to prune no stone fruit trees and berry bushes. This includes apples and pears. The class will cover few topics about the importance of trees in nature and in human development, focusing on orchards and the different pruning techniques.
Bring some gloves and secateurs, if you have them. We also invite the participants to bring vegetable-based food to share with everyone at the end of the class.
It will be an amazing day of learning, participation and celebration in natural environment!
