Sustainable Merton are really pleased to announce that a special Local Government Chronicle award has been given to the Mitcham Community Orchard & Gardens project!
Competition for this award was stiff, with several hundred entries from across the UK. To our delight, the orchard came second and “highly commended” in the Community Projects category.
We see this as a wonderful indication of the work we do in Merton and we hope that you as supporters feel just as proud. This particularly challenging project has succeeded because of the fantastic dedication of local volunteers supported by a wonderful array of partner groups and organisations. We hope that the coming season will be just as successful with your help!
