Style Junkies is a recycled costume competition run by Merton Council as part of Merton’s Mega Recycle campaign.
The winners have now been announced and the prize winning costumes are on show at the Style Junkies Exhibition in the Stable Yard, Morden Hall Park (11am – 4pm daily) until 26th July.
Proud students (and parents) attended the launch of the exhibition on Thursday 2nd July and the Deputy Mayor of Merton, Pauline Cowper, came along to congratulate all of those who took part. Certificates were presented to the winning entrants, who were happy to talk about their impressive creations.
Alongside the costumes were examples of reprocessed recycled materials and Sustainable Merton’s Ruth tried out one of the unusual chairs on show made from recycled plastic.
