About The Event
For this edition of our Weekly Web Chats series, we are delighted to welcome Sally Warren, Co Founder of Merton based business WhoSki.com and member of Merton's Business Network for Climate Action, a partnership project led by Sustainable Merton and Merton Chamber of Commerce.
What's it about?
With fast fashion constantly in the press, ski wear is near enough impossible to recycle and the varied materials are damaging to the environment. Recognising this, Sally set up WhoSki.com with Merton resident Nicola Davenport to provide a platform for people to buy and sell their pre-loved ski wear. Part of the journey was to partner with Stem4 a Merton based teenage mental health charity ensuring the company supported a good cause. So what impact does ski wear have on the environment? What are the challenges of the pre-loved market? How do you ski and reduce your environmental impact? And what does the fashion circular economy look like in the future?
In a relaxed and positive style, Sally will present a few facts and stats before Q and A's.
