Why buy when you can borrow?
A Library of Things is a place where you can borrow useful Things for your home, projects and adventures. Affordable. Convenient. Kinder to the planet.
Sustainable Merton has partnered with social enterprise Library of Things and Merton Council to bring you Morden Library of Things - the first of its kind in Merton!
You can now pop into Morden Library to borrow useful household items like drills, carpet cleaners and gazebos. Library of Things allows you to borrow items from as little as £1 per day, before returning them for another neighbour to use.
Start borrowing today!
To make it work, we need everyone in the Merton community on board. Together we want to help people to save money, learn practical skills and reduce waste.
You’ll find the borrowing kiosk on the ground floor of Morden Library with step free access, inside Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX.

Why borrow?
Borrowing useful Things, rather than buying them, helps people save money and storage space, and reduce waste to landfill.
Crystal Palace Library of Things has been open for over 18 months, and in that time has helped save borrowers £40,000, and spared 23,000 tonnes from landfill!
