Community Fridge Supports More Local People Than Ever

Our Community Fridge continues to go from strength to strength, supporting more local people than ever before.
6,500kg of Surplus Food Rescued Every Month
Although we reduced our opening sessions from three days a week to two in April 2025, demand has continued to grow. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our community, we now rescue an average of 6,500kg of surplus food every month, helping to reduce food waste while providing essential support to local residents.
In May, we welcomed a record 124 visitors in a single session—a powerful reminder of the increasing need for this vital service.
These figures represent far more than statistics. They represent families putting food on the table, neighbours supporting one another, and perfectly good food being saved from going to waste.
Thank You to Our Community Supporters
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand at Wimbledon Quarter during the Championships. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over £1,000 in just one weekend.
Every pound donated helps us keep the Community Fridge running and ensures we can continue supporting local people when they need us most.
We're also incredibly grateful to our volunteers, food partners, donors and supporters. A special thank you to Wimbledon Quarter for hosting us during the Championships, and to Love Wimbledon for showing our film Where Food Meets Friendship on the big screen at the Piazza, helping us raise awareness of the Community Fridge.
How Businesses Can Support the Community Fridge
Community impact is made possible through partnership, and we're always keen to connect with local businesses that want to give back.
Whether it's through employee volunteering, corporate fundraising, sponsorship, skills-based volunteering or another partnership, there are many ways your organisation can help strengthen our community while making a meaningful local impact.
If your business is looking for a charity partner that delivers measurable social value, we'd love to hear from you.
Together, we can rescue more food, support more local people and build a stronger, more connected community.
