Operation Coronation: Merton's Royal Food Rescue Service

📣 Calling all Big Lunch and Street Party organisers!

Stressed about being left with a stack of surplus samosas and a plethora of pork pies? Worry not! Operation Coronation - Merton’s royal surplus food rescue service, is here to help! 👑🍰

Sustainable Merton’s Community Fridge e-bike team will be taking to two wheels and travelling around the borough over the bank holiday weekend to rescue excess food from your coronation celebrations 🚴‍♂️ We will also be collecting additional food and toiletry donations which we will share with our food charity partners across Merton 📍

Do something amazing to make your community, and King, proud and help save those afternoon tea treats from going to waste at the same time! 🥳

Getting involved is easy! Simply complete our short booking form to register and select a suitable time slot. Collections are limited so please book early and by WEDNESDAY 3RD MAY at the latest to help us plan our food rescue route! Once you’ve completed the form, our Operation Coronation team will be in touch to confirm your booking and provide further donation guidance.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️ On the day of your Street Party, PLEASE DON'T OPEN EVERYTHING AT ONCE as we can only accept sealed packets 👍🏽
